Devotional films have reduced quite a lot in Tamil Cinema since many directors focus on making thrillers and comedies. To fill in that gap a new film titled "Maerkku Mugappair Sri Kanaga Durga is being made. The film is said to be based on a true incident that took place in a temple near Anna Nagar.
